Adrienne Wannamaker

Adrienne Wannamaker is a native of Portland, Oregon, but now resides full-time in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is known for her extremely textured and complex contemporary large wall art. Using both neutrals and bold color palettes, her inspiration comes from aerial and landscape views. Her love of geometric and organic textures, color saturation and composition began in high school and has been incorporated throughout her work life; weaver, art director, architectural finishing, and retail store owner selling decorative finishing products which is where her true career as an fine artist emerged. Marrying all disciplines and experiences together, she developed her unique artistic voice, producing memorable and impactful works of art.

What Adrienne enjoys most from each unique creation is not so much what it symbolizes or represents, but more about the emotional response and affect it has on the viewer.

Each painting begins with a thick layer of cracking texture; this failing, unpredictable and heavy textured product is what allows for the composition to take place. The integration of layers, shapes and color continues through the application of translucent and opaque colored mediums with each piece averaging about 20 layers and culminating in a double resin pour.
