Martin has been drawing and painting since childhood. Martin received her BA in art from Nebraska
Wesleyan University and an AA in graphic design. She moved to the southwest in 1989 where the
landscapes and the rugged beauty of the desert provide a continuous source of inspiration for many of her
paintings. Martin loves to explore and enjoys outdoor sports, including mountain biking and backpacking. Her
love of exploring is also communicated in her painting process. Always ready to try a new technique or style,
she enjoys the discoveries in each new painting.
