Colorado’s mountains, Taos, New Mexico, the southwest and Native
Americans: all of these are major influences on the life and art of Romero. A
Colorado native, Romero has been drawing all of her conscious life. Romero
discovered watercolors in 1987, an event that freed her art and vision, and
launched her pursuit of a professional career. Romero’s works are now
exhibited in several galleries and her paintings are part of commercial and
private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
Romero is best known for her peaceful snow scenes, southwest
landscapes, adobes, and wildlife and mountain scenes. Romero does not
care to be known for only one theme or standardized form. Her art is
continually growing and expending, expressing a diversity that reflects the
depth and awareness that she possesses.
