Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Marcela Panasiti's exotic creations are unparalleled. Her work is deeply

Ms. Panasiti begins her work by literally creating an 'adobe canvas' using red, dark brown, and white soil
from her new home of Sedona, Arizona. Results are contemporary, abstract, and richly layered. Minerals are
used to create deep, natural patinas. A laborious process, results range from smooth, almost glazed
surfaces, to parched, cracked and weathered 'murals'.
